Two New Walkways completed at Heathrow and Walsall

A380 Maintenance Base at Heathrow Airport

A new Barrel Vaulted Walkway was recently completed on behalf of British Airways at the new Airbus A380 maintenance base at Heathrow Airport. The 60 metre walkway was designed to provide a covered link between two buildings, the walkway is of a steel and aluminium construction with toughened glass side glazing and polycarbonate roof. A feature of the walkway is the installation of Queensbury’s new LED lighting system, with the light units, wiring and control gear mounted within a dedicated extruded aluminium housing designed to provide a robust, cost effective lighting system.

Walsall Bus Station

This 56 metre G2 walkway was installed on behalf of Centro at Bradford Place, Walsall Bus Station in late summer, with the installation being completed within 8 weeks. The walkway is the latest in a number of sites completed over the past few years across the UK using the G2 system. The shelter was once again installed with our own LED lighting system, full length pad seating, Time-Table cases and has the facility to fit an RTPI system.
