3. Cookies Policy
(a) About Cookies
Cookies are files, often including unique identifiers, that are sent by web servers to web browsers, and which may then be sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.
Cookies can be used by web servers to identity and track users as they navigate different pages on a website, and to identify users returning to a website.
Cookies may be either “persistent” cookies or “session” cookies. A persistent cookie consists of a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, which will be stored by the browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date (unless deleted by the user before the expiry date). A session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.
(b) Cookies used
We do not store any personal information that you have provided to us in any cookie issued by this website. In English this means that we cannot individually identify anybody who has visited our website, nor can we see where you have been or where you go after you leave.
(c) Removing Cookies
If you want to delete any cookies that are already on your computer, please refer to the instructions for your operating system or browser.
(d) Further Reading
We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors.

(b) information that you provide to us for the purpose of registering with us
(c) information that you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our website services, email notifications and/or newsletters
We will never disclose your data to any external companies.
We may use any information you provide to us for the following purposes:
(a) administer the website;
(b) improve your browsing experience by personalising the website;
(c) send statements and invoices to you, and collect payments from you;
(d) send you general (non-marketing) commercial communications;
(e) send you email notifications which you have specifically requested;
(f) send you other marketing communications relating to our business which we think may be of interest to you by post or, where you have specifically agreed to this, by email or similar technology (you can inform us at any time if you no longer require marketing communications)
We do not sell or give your data to other organisations for marketing purposes. We may use your data to make you aware of similar services to those you may have used or enquired about. We will offer you the opportunity to decline such future contact. Some data collected may be used for our own research purposes in anonymous and non-attributable form.
5. Anti-Spam policy
Queensbury Shelters messaging systems automatically scan all incoming messages and filter out anything that could be classed as spam. This is an automated process and is therefore not infallible. No message filtering system is 100% accurate, and from time to time legitimate messages will be filtered-out by our systems. If you believe this has happened to a message you have sent, please advise the message recipient by another means.
You can reduce the risk of a message being caught by the spam filters by sending the message in plain text (i.e. no HTML), removing any attachments, and ensuring that your messages are scanned for malware before dispatch.

If you wish to request a copy of information that we hold about you, please contact the IT Manager at the following address.
