TfGM Guided Busway

We were invited to submit concept designs for the supply and installation of 15 off 6 bay (9m long) x 1.5m wide G2 cantilever shelters and 7 cycle shelters.  Working with TfGM’s technical and passenger transport departments, the designs were adapted to suit the individual requirements of the scheme including glass manifestations, GRP Pad seating, LED lighting, RTI, CCTV and speaker housings.

The shelter frameworks were installed in conjunction with the main contractor’s and local authorities challenging program with the glazing and timetable cases being installed during additional visits to coincide with the completion of the project.

Deliverables

The shelters were manufactured and installed on time using our dedicated sub contract site labour, the site works being supervised by our experienced site manager.
Rigorous Health and Safety Inspections were conducted by TfGM and the main contractor along with daily site inductions.
The project was completed I accordance with the Health and Safety plan and within a tight program.

We were pleased to be involved with supplying shelters for the Leigh to Ellenbrook Guided Busway, the first guided busway in the North West of England. Covering 4.5 miles, the bus-only guided section connects Leigh and Ellenbrook delivering reduced journey times, punctuality and reliability for passengers.
