Walkways & Bespoke Projects

Queensbury has four decades of experience in the design, manufacture and installation of covered walkways, and similar structures throughout the UK. All our range of walkways are manufactured from our modern Portsmouth based production facility.

A wide range of walkways are available, fully glazed or side glazed only with pitch, curved or flat roofs. The modular design of the walkways allows a wide range of sizes and configuration capable of meeting most requirements.

The walkways can be manufactured to suit most site applications, our experienced engineers and designers are available to give advice on the provision of non standard designs.
Using a high specification of materials the walkways are visually attractive, durable and resistant to vandalism. All production processes, including polyester powder coating, are retained in house ensuring an excellent standard of finished product.

Composition and manufacture
Walkway structures are stainless steel or rich zinc/galvanized steel. All glazing is retained within our own suite of aluminium extrusions developed specifically for this type of application. Glazing options include toughened glass, UV stabilized polycarbonate, PETG and solid panels in galvanized steel, aluminium and GRP. Polyester powder coating to the full range of RAL and BS colours is standard.

Accessories
A full range of lighting including Solar Power and LED is available. Facilities for Real Time Passenger Information, Seating, Signage and Information Panels can be provided

Options

Some of Queensbury’s traditional shelter designs lend themselves naturally to be used in walkways like the Arun and the Solent shown above, but the G2 range with it’s striking contemporary design and robust structure has proved our most popular configuration of walkway in recent years, particularly in high profile, high traffic areas such as those pictured here.

Experience

Queensbury have installed walkways and shelters in a wide range of environments including schools, airports, bus interchanges, railway stations, ports and hospitals and no job is too big or too small for our dedicated and professional design and installation teams.

Sitework
A full Installation, Maintenance, Cleaning and Refurbishment Service is provided. All structures are installed wherever possible using our own Fixing Teams who are Qualified to Supervisor and Operative Level under the requirements of the NRSWA.
The company is NICEIC registered and employs its own Electricians to undertake the Electrical Installations on all Walkways.

Take advantage of Queensbury’s extensive experience in the design, manufacture and installation unique walkways and bespoke projects by requesting a visit from one of our site engineers, who will be happy to make recommendations and offer useful advice free of charge. Should you wish, from that very moment Queensbury can take complete control of the project from the initial conception of the design right through to site reinstatement, any required electrical connection and even as far as the ongoing maintenance of the shelter and regular cleaning of the structure.
